Glad you figured it out.
I have the same lock.
Can't remember if it came with instructions or not,
but I DO remember scratching my head over the damn thing for a couple minutes at first.
It's just like anything else though...after you do it once it all makes perfect sense.

haha sorry for keeping it a secret all day!

and no it didn't come with directions...

Pretty much there are two screws that you have to loosen and slide part of it to make the opening a little bigger.

then, with the engine hood shut it will slide up the hood release lock and sit right on it because it has a little lip. there is no drilling or anything that has to be done it stays there because its locked and when you unlock it it comes off for you to open the hood.

It would get really annoying if you were constantly needing to open you hood but since I don't it should work great!

I am taking a ton of pics of the Rubi tomorrow so I'll make sure I take some of the lock. It should help make more sense with the pictures haha

You'll have to let me know how you like that setup! I had tried those locking hood latches from Smitty and they were the biggest pieces of @#$%.

This set up is really good! It's so easy to get on and off! And gives good protection

The only thing is you should put a little lube or something like that on the key to make it a little easier to put in the keyhole.
