How to remove an old Console?

Just bought a 99 Wrangler and it has an old Console mounted. The lock doesn't work and it is not mounted securely. It seems to be mounted to the floor from the rear of the console but I have been unable to find any way to get under the console or inside to locate mounting hardware. How do I get this thing out so that I can replace it??? I have included a pic

Thanks

hack the top off. Get under your jeep and look at the tunnel. You should see some bolts under there somewhere. You can drill the bolt heads or grind off the nuts. I would cut a hole in the side to get at some bolts if you need to turn from the inside.

Thanks, I was afraid that there was not a "Magic," easy way to get it off. Wish me luck as I tear into it.

Take a pic of the actual lock for me and I'll probably have atip for you. I break into stuff for a living.

I can get in but it just will not catch. Anyway the whole console "wobbles" and is cheap looking. I am ready to replace it anyway
