humming sound comming from the rear

I have a 98 wrangler and Iam getting a humming sound in the rear not when i coast only in gear when driving anybody got any ideas and how much it would cost.

i had the same problem thought it might be the ring and pinion, all it needed was a u-joint on the rear drive shaft. cost less than $20 each for good ones under $10 for the auto zone ones. there are 3 on mine.
