HVAC Issues - 2000 TJ Sport

Guys and Gals,

I have a bit of a quirky issue going on here and I would like to pick you brains.

So, its seems that i have lost my "part your hair" speed on my HVAC controls. Everything seems to be in working order (i.e. both heat and A/C are operational).

If I turn the control knob to "ALL On" it blows like the soft breath of a 70 year old asthmatic woman (or like on setting #3).. When I turn on the Defrost, it blows like mad, but if I turn the setting from off to the setting where it is blowing at your upper body only, i hear it try to push hard, but then is slows.. Almost like the vent is closing on it.. It does blow air, but it just isn't like what is was on "Full-on."

Any help is much appreciated!

could be one of the flapper doors not working properly. is the excess air blowing out elsewhere?

Sounds like a pneumatic issue. You might try to pull the control out of the dash and check to see if all of the hoses are connected.
