Exclamation HVAC LED light install question

I am replacing the hvac bulbs with blue LED's and I am confused on how to get the original bulbs out and these in. I already replaced the gauge lights and I know how to get the housing for the hvac controls off. Pictures and directions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

1st take the middle trim piece that goes around radio and hvac. then remove the hvac screws pull it out a bit and there are 1 bulb on each side they look the same as cluster. its very easy

Do I need to disconnect it from the harness? And does it come out from the back like the gauges did or do I open it up?

there should be two plugs that look somewhat similar to the ones that you pulled in your cluster, one on each side of the hvac unit. those are the bulbs. just have to turn it 1/4 of a turn and it should come loose to pull out. i tried putting my leds in there and they kept blowing on me... i just put the old ones back in.

Actually for the switches for the defroster and such, did they require the same bulbs that the hvac used?

if you read the whole thread it says what bulbs fit where, i forget what size i used. i think the switch led's were smaller than the hvac led's

Can't recall the specific part #'s either.
Do as TWOZEROFD suggested,
and read through the INTERIOR LIGHTING thread that we put together.
If I remember correctly, everything you need to know is in that thread in detail....both for the older model TJ's like mine, and the newer ones like his.

BTW TWOZEROFD... are your LEDs still holding up?
So far so good for mine...but I don't do a HELL of alot of night driving.
