HVAC problems

Can anybody hook me up with a diagram of the 97 TJ hvac system. My defrost doesn't blow out the windshield. I can see that an arm or something is broke but can't tell what it snapped from. When I push the control lever from off to on it starts coming out by the windshield them something sounds like it closes shuts. Any help would be appreciated before I tear the dash off.

Here is a link to a diagram (post #6) of the actuators & what each controls. The arms that connect the actuators to the doors inside are known to break or sometimes just get disconnected from the actuator. Read through the link in case you need a new arm. There is some question which arm goes where & this may help.

what does this hvac vacuum arm attach to? - JeepForum.com

that happened on my last TJ. it was the actuator itself. when i was talking to someone at the dealer, he said it's not an uncommon problem since the rubber from the diaphragm (that word doesn't look right, but my computer switched it to that, lol) can sometimes tear. once i replaced it everything was good.

on a side not, maybe my spell check is wrong....i though diaphram was spelled this way?

Am I looking at removing the entire dash to get to it? This is my first jeep and am really try to do most of my own work as a learning process. Can I get a new actuator at an auto-zone or is this a special order from a jeep dealership? Thanks for the link. The diagram will be helpful.
