i can try tonight. if you dont have power steering though, i have no idea where it will plug in, since you wont have a power steering hose for it to go to.

the wire leads back to the top of the carb right where the airfilter connects to the top of the carb. if that helps you and the wires are both red and black

ok, there are red and black wires going to the fuel injector, they appear to be different than the harness going to the ps hose.

thats the fuel injector wires, but like i said, i think thats a different red and black wire. unplug those, and you'll have zero fuel.

have you tried smacking your cat yet to see if its rattling?

Buy a factory service manual, it has everything you need including where all the wires go. You'd be days ahead of where you are now if you had one... they're worth the $$$.

I said "factory service manual", not a Chiltons or Haynes. Chiltons and Hanes are, at best, general guides for doing simple basic crap. The factory service manual is model-year specific and has all of the wiring diagrams. Personally, I wouldn't have a Chiltons or Haynes in my garage if they were given to me. They are too general and cover too many model years... and none all that well. I rest my case, it's clear your Chiltons is not helping you here.

A vacuum leak makes it run lean, not rich.
