IAC Fixed?

I was having a rough idle problem. I pulled re tube off the throttle body and sprayed WD-40 in the IAC port as i did not have any carb cleaner. Instantly smoothed out idle and slowed it down as it was idling high. Anyone see any issues with this?

Throttle body cleaner would have been a much better choice, You can pick it up anywhere.

Like a shot of rotgut whisky, I'd chase that inappropriate WD-40 with some actual throttle body cleaner.
