Identifying source of engine leak TJ

I have a 2002 TJ 4.0 that appears to be leaking between the upper and lower engine case. Could someone take a look at my pic's and give me any advice on how to fix this problem? Thanks.

head gasket. fix it now, before it completely fails, so that you don't have any real problems. yes, it is a major job but it is actually very simple on the 4.0L because its an old style push rod motor.
