Idle Problem

ok i have a 02 wrangler new rebuilt 4.0 afe intake jba headers and gibson exhaust. i have a problem with my jeep idling up to 1000 to 1200 when i release clutch and come to a stop i also can crank it up and just let it sit there and it will idle ok for a bit then go up to 1000 and up. already repalced idle air control valve and throttle posotion sensor. already checked for vacuum leaks and pressing quickly on the throttle doesnt work. guy at shop says i need a new computer..........please help

Try to block all the air that goes through throttle body (including IAC inlet). If the engine does not stop, then you have an air leak somewhere. Also, make sure the bolts are tight on intake/exhaust manifold. Could be a leaking intake/exhaust manifold gasket as well.

engine cuts off when i block all air. all bolts tight on manifolds still have problem

Just to make sure, you replaced the IAC and TPS AFTER this problem started. Correct?

I am not sure what else could be causing the problem. You can try resetting the computer. Disconnect the battery and leave it like that overnight to completely reset the computer.
