ignition buzzer

After a lot of searching I have no concrete answer. 2000 wrangler sport is there or is there not a hockey puck under the dash that I can just pull out to disable. no I don't want to pull #4 fuse as want dome lights on when opening doors, no don't want to snip #5 wire on ignition column, just trying to get her ready for upcoming turkey season... silence is golden. thanks!!!!

If you remove buzzer or just cut wires it could not buzz

I've seen a write up on how to disable the buzzer but it's pretty complicated from what I remember. I know I thought about trying to disable mine, but I got used to it and never bothered.

Follow the sound and it will lead you to the buzzer

You could wire a switch into fuse #4 so you could just flip that off disabling your door jamb sensors. Not sure if the ignition buzzer is caused by the door opening.

To answer your question, and not post to be posting....... the chime is part of the gauge cluster. It is a little black canister looking piece about as tall as stack of four dimes together. You can twist it carefully off the board and the chime will be gone forever.

no but you will have to take the instrument cluster out. It is attached to the board on the back side of the cluster.

Will this also disable the "headlights on" buzzer?

This will disable all buzzers, headlights on, keys in ignition, whatever else will make it come on. The canister looking piece that I speak of is the actual "speaker" for the buzzer/chime in the Jeep.
