in need of some tech advice

Hello everone, new to site thought I would ask a question of you before spending the coin!I have a 2001 TJ 4.0 auto, that is hard to start at operating temp.In the morning it rolls over about 3-4 times then fires and runs great.I get to coffee shop, shut her down, and have to bump her 2-3 times then roll it over before she'll start.Kinda like priming fuel rail?Checked test port tonite and heard a faint sound of pressure release, but no fuel. That system should be primed at all times right?(fuel rail). No fuel leaks,I have checked every hose for deterioration and everything looks good.Does not miss, hesitate going down the road or at idle. Was told to check fuel reg at end of rail, but mine must be invisible OR in the tank.Would pump still operate if relay was going south?Well, what do you guys think?Thank you ahead of time, now I'm going to do some more searching here, have a good weekend.Jim

You have the easy way or the hard way your choice.
1- You turn the key on let the pump work then of then on again then off. Then the third time the truck will turn right over.
2- you drop the tank and fix the return line valve I am drawing a blank on what it is called sorry.

I like option number 1 the best.
