Angry in need, please help!

OK i have about had it up to (well i cant show you) , but any who i have called every salvage yard in garland county, and none count none ( out of 26 ) even have a jeep, let alone a 96+ 4.0 liter engine that goes in a JEEP . i even went on ebay, had a bid on one for $42 with 15 min left but had to go to work to come home a find that i was beat by a dollar . but to the point can any one out there find me a 4.0L throttle body that i can put on a 97 wrangler (dont worry about it haveing to be milled to fit 2.5 i have that covered, been wanting to get one but ran in to problems as stated above, i know this should be in "wanted" but i dont think any one reads them that much ( i usally forget, or dont make it that far). but a used one will be fine but i would like it to be under $50 if possiable. if some one could find one at a local salvage yard or somewhere else where can get one please help. thank you very much!!

A decent salvage yard should have a locator service. They get on the mike and call out what they are looking for and yards all over the country hear the call. If they have the part they call back and your local yard can have it shipped in.

Well then just drive out in the country and look in peoples front yards. You should find all the parts you need.

I know what you mean though. My parents have a place on Beaver Lake and the pickins do seem slim around there.

thanks, but in a way that is true, there is a guy down the street that has a 92 XJ with a 4.0 engine that is just sitting there. and i worked a wreck yesterday involving a 96 XJ and it is totaled and i asked if he was going to salvage it(i know the guy) and he said no he has another one at home and wanted it to salvage for him self. so i am not having the best of luck. but to up turn this i did a do a national part locater and found one for $55 including shipping. It is comeing from SC and i think I will do that! but thanks for everyones help!!

well you guys (and girls) are going to laugh at me. 1blkjp said to just drive ount in the county and i will find all the parts i need! well he is kinda right, i was driving down a back country road today ( i havent been down this road in like 2 years) but i saw in someone front yard a 97 jeep grand cherekee laying on its side ( It looked like it was in a accident) so i was curious (EMS in me wondered if it was a wreck that just happened) and stoped and asked the guy if he was alright he said yea i asked why the jeep was on it side, the jeep was in a rollover accident down a rock ravin while wheeling, and the guy that currently had it, bought it from the friend that wrecked it, and he was salvaging it to sell online. we i asked if the engine was good. and sure enough it was and he was going to sell it as a short block. and i asked about the throttle body and if he would sell just that and for how much. and about 15 mins later a walked away with a 4.0 throttle body for $30 because that is all i had in my wallet and he said that sounded fair. so thank you for the help yall provided thus far but i found one in good condition. so in a way i am glad i live in bumf***ed AR, just go down an old county road and there is not tell what you will find.

Great! Glad ya found what ya needed.

I'll send you looking for cheap parts when I need 'em. In the rare cases that ANY Jeep makes it to a 'yard here, the waiting list is already so long, it ain't even worth asking...
