Input Shaft Disconnect?

Im pulling the motor out of my 2000 Wrangler 4.0L. My question is it says the input shaft needs to be disconnected before engine removal and Im unsure what and where they mean to dosconnect a shaft. Its a 5sp manual tranny and on the driver side backside of tranny there is a black unit with 2 bolts going into the transmission. Does this need to be removed. Im not a mechanic just looking to save some coin. Its going great so far....just want to be clear on what the FSM means.

You just need to remove the bolts holding the transmission bell housing to the block. There is nothing holding the input shaft in place.
