Intake manifold

I have a 98 sport I6. Can I put a 99 and newer intake manifold on my 98? I know it changed in 99 to a newer better style...

You should be able to but may need to modify lengths of some of the vacuum line and sensor wires to make them reach their new spots. Also some aftermarket 1 piece headers may have a clearance issue with the newer manifold. The new manifold sits slightly lower on some of the runners.

Thanks. Next question: who carries intake manifolds besides used ones on eBay and the dealership? I've looked all over the Internet and haven't found a site that carries them.

Unless you get one super cheep its not worth doing. I know a few guys who have done it none saw any improvement vs the older style.

Any difference is negligible and to me not worth the effort. I have had both versions on two different TJs and at least to me, there is no noticeable difference in engine performance.
