Interior lights with doors removed

On my 2004 TJ, when removing the doors, is there a specific breaker that only extinguishes the interior lights? There are a few that will do his but it affects other things. What's the solution?

I beleive pulling fuse #4 behind the glove box kills just the lights. You can also just hooked a small toggle switch to power that fuse circuit on/off.

I spent about 15 minutes installing a switch.

After pulling fuse #4, you can still use your OEM dash switch to turn on your dome light.

Appreciate the confirmation. Just got my manual from my Jeep Dealer and I installed a switch. Pretty simple. Thanks for the help!

When the fuse is disconnected just don't forget that fuse 4 also is used for the headlight alarm if you leave them on when the jeep is off. I've left my headlights on plenty of times, just watch out if its dark outside and your doors are off.

The amazing part is I'm very OCD and If I'd noticed they were upside down I would have flipped them over before I took the pic, or more when I bought the Jeep. Really. Now I know what I'm going to do with the first 30 seconds of my day..

I can't believe I haven't noticed.

Don't worry about it. I "fixed" my fuses too.

It looks simple enough, but is there a write up anywhere on how to wire this switch in? I've got a spare on/off switch, but it's been hot here in Seattle, we ain't used to that, and my brains a bit fizzled.

No. Note sure it warrants a write up. I slightly modified a fuse tap to run the wires from both circuits in the fuse box, added a switch and an inline fuse.

You can pop the plungers out of the door jambs and disconnect the switch. Not as fast as the #4 fuse thing, but the interior lights will come on momentarily when you start it up and shut it down.
