Intermitant Lifter Noise Help?

I got an 06 TJ 2.4L with 36k and ever since I bought it I've noticed an engine tick I am pretty sure it's the lifters. It's intermitant but it's kinda faint and seems to only happen when it's good and warmed up and sitting at idle. Anyone have any ideas? Is this normal on jeeps?
Also I read something awhile back about oil and oil filter. So if it helps I have a K&N Oil Filter and I use Valvoline 5W30. It's done this before and after oil change.

i was gonna say its pretty normal, but then i saw the 2.4 motor. and its outside of warranty to, 2006 got hosed on warranty, i know we bought a van then. i'd say do an engine oil flush and change the oil at 3k every time and you'll be fine.

that motor is not a tried and true jeep motor, it will not last as long as the old 4 and 6 cyl. it was started in the neon, and then bored out and twin cam'd for the mini van and jeep among a couple others.
