Internal Door handle broken

hi guys so today i went to open my 2001 wrangler (full doors) from the inside, and it wouldn't open the door, i had to open the window and open it from the outside... any advice on the problem?

More often than not, the connecting rods are held in place by plastic clips. They dry up and break. It's a very simple fix once you take off the door panel and look around. That's not to say something else may have gone wrong with yours, but start simple and work your way up.

Autozone carries them. They are with the Help brand items and come in a multi pack for about $3.50. Other auto parts stores should carry them as well.
