Is this bad? (Suspension Lift Question)

So, I was under my Jeep to fix a wheel bearing yesterday, and I thought "I should identify my lift kit, for personal knowledge, and my signature."

Anyway, here's what I found:

OR:

So, this is how my Jeep sits on that lift:

Is it bad that I have these two spacer looking things? Do I need to replace them with springs?

I wanted to dump money into a hard top and hard doors, but if this is a safety concern, I want to get it addressed. I have a baby on the way, I cannot go riding it around in an unsafe truck.

Nope two spacers are not good, the most that is ever recommended is one. Two spacers can cause/encourage overcompression of the springs which will damage them. I can't say it's unsafe but it's not something I would leave on there long term.

I agree, probably not the best thing to do. If you would like to keep your current ride height i would look into replacing the springs or replace with 2" lift springs and keep one spacer.

But I am also concerned that if the previous owner decided to do that then what was done to correct other issues of a 4" lift.

Where's the "opening a can of worms" smilie?
Like the others said you need to address your lift issues and I would do it right away. Who knows what other crappy work they did to your Jeep.
Check out BDS or OME for springs. Try to stay away from rough country.

What size tires are you running?

Can't help on the suspension, but the jeep's color is " Desert Sand Pearl" not tan!

So, I'm running 33's right now, but I was going to go down to a 31 for daily driving, and just keep the 33's for off-road adventures (I don't like the wheels, or their effect on my gas mileage).

I will look for some springs.

Just out of curiosity, I heard that JK springs are 2" higher than OEM TJ springs. If so, could I get away with some of those?

I'm sure my wife will love it when I tell her "but honey, I have to buy new springs!"
