is this supposed to be this low??? looks wrong

so i recently bought my first tj, its a 1999 tj sahara 4.0 its totally stock from wat PO said. no lift but i was under it today and the bump stop looks crazy low!!! is it supposed to be like that stock or is something f**ed up. i was planning a bb until funds allow for real lift, thanks for any replies

Looks right for stock height. The orange jounce will compress into the cup.

That looks a tiny bit lower than mine and mine is completely stock with new stock springs and a shocks less than 6 months ago. I can post a pic for comparison if needed?

yeah any pics would be awesome! i posted on another feed and some one told be my bump stop has defiantly been extended

weird, and your sure this isnt a problem? because ive been told there lowered have you thought of raising them for more flex?

Looks like extended bump stops to me. Like the kind installed with a lift. I would have to see it from another angle but that's what it looks like to me. Maybe it was lifted then put back to stock? Maybe p.o. put them on for some reason? Look at your front track bar at the axle mount and see if it has a bracket or an extra hole where it was mounted when it had a lift (if that's the case)

No extension and stock jounce bumper.

Its a stock bumpstop..........curious if the factory spring isloator pads are in.......need a pic of the top portion of the spring.

With fresh shocks and the factory spring isolator you should have about 3.5" from the axle jounce pad to the bottom of the jounce bumper cup. Factory front shocks have roughly 7" of travel.

ill take a look, i doubt it tho, i have stock axles and mine was so stock it had the milk jugs still on from po. regardless ill take a look its weird that some say its normal. who knows it could be but the gap is just as small in person
