Is this the right clutch for my jeep?

It says for wrangler (I have a 2003 rubi) but also the old cjs. Do they all use the same clutch? Just making sure before I buy it

Luk is an Oem replacement. Pepboys sells Luk clutches... I was just there and almost bought one since mine will need one soon. Price was $154 and change. Came with not only the clutch but the pressure plate, throw out bearing, etc. Cj's are wranglers but I don't think that is the right one for your tj.

i know the cjs are the older wranglers but this site groups them seperate. It says for cjs and wrangler. Not sure why they would group it like that. But this is what popped up when I typed in my year and model.

You can get a lot better deal on LUK clutches at Parts Geek. We've bought a few of them from them with no issues. 1994-1995, 1997-2006 Jeep Wrangler Clutch Kit - LUK 05-065 - - PartsGeek.com

Dial-A-Clutch used to be a great site for clutch kits but there are less costly other sources for the same clutch kits now. I would definitely stick with Luk. Amazon.com is a good source for them too.

Yep,

Wrangler debuted in 1986 as a revision of the Jeep CJ-7 according to Wikpedia.

Bought two from them. Great price and quick shipping.

You can also get this same exact kit with the upgraded throwout bearing at Advance Auto Parts for around $139 if you don't want to wait for shipping.

My guess would be there's an issue with how the pressure plate and/or throwout bearing was installed. Isn't it also possible to put the clutch plate on these in backwards? Maybe you didn't align the clutch properly too.

i got it from dial a clutch because they had the kit with the flywheel and I didn't really feel like spending the time to shop around. It was 225 shipped I believe. And got to me in two days.

Price you are showing is way more than I paid. Go to "Parts Geek" .com. I just ordered mine last week and recieved it within 3 days and paid $150 approx for clutch KIT and a NEW flywheel. My Jeep is an 2002, 4.0 wrangler.
