it seems to me like if your tool is even slightly worn and doesn't fit the bolt perfectly, you round out the bolt every time, and put further wear on your tool in the process.

Use the 1/4 or 3/8 drive extension with a Torx socket. Easy!

i had the same problem with a torx and didnt want to drill it, so i epoxied the torx bit in the head of the bolt, let it dry for a day, and it gave it enough bite to put a box wrench on the bit and get it out, worth a try, a lot easier than drilling

That stinks. I think it will far less work for you to bring it to a local garage, ask them to weld a hex head bolt onto the stripped bolt, and then you can take her out yourself. They shouldn't charge more than $20.00. Good luck.

Welding a nut to the head worked great for me . I did break the bolt in two. It broke off flush with the nut so the bolt slid out and I wiggled the nut /bolt out the other end . Like was said drive to a welder and be done in minutes .
