Its broke

Just went against my sons full size 350 Chevy in a mud bog race. Did pretty good, but I lost. Couple hours later and probably a few brewskies to many I hooked up against him in a tug of war. Not a good idea! Made it about 4 feet and had a heck of a bang just before I went backwards about 40 MPH. I now have a broken rear axle and I believe I snapped something in the transfer case. (I have nothing at the front axle either) I have 4:11 front and rear in the Dana 30/ 35 Dif's. I want to get a stonger 27 spline axle for the rears. I know I probably should go to a Dan 44 setup but was just wondering where I coild get some stronger 27 splines for what I have. It was a dailey runner till I did this to it. He sure git a bang out of it though. still laughing and teasing.

Are you sure you want to spend $ on the D35?

Most of the time you can find a bolt in D44 at a yard for the cost of the replacement axles.......look into it before you spend any cash on a D35......

Update

Update, its not the transfer case. I took all the spider gears out of the front diff along with the rear axle. If I went with a Dana 44 would I be able to use my ring, pinion and carrier I just put in this Dana 35 or would I have to start all over with that part of it also to get my gear ratio correct?

I thinky yo're gonna have to start all over, you might as wlel put in a two D44's with the same gear ratio, if you can find them out of a wrecked jeep

I have the d30 front and d35 rear. If/when I break them i'm going d44 front and rear. it's not worth the $ to rebuild, when replacing is so much better.
