jack points

so i'm almost embarraed to ask this, but i'de rather be safe than sorry. where are the jack points on my TJ?

i pick up my 31's on my way home from work, and if i can brave the elements and rapidly plummeting temps, i would love to get them on tonight.

Under the axle. Be sure you are on level ground and the wheels are chocked, in gear, and parking brake set. I go the extra step and always put it in 4 lo before lifting up the jeep.

Tires dont spin.. since 4 lo is even a lower ratio than 4 hi so its even harder to rotate the tires therefore causing the jeep to stay put and not roll off the jack while its up... 4lo and 1st gear and handbrake does it for me.

If you put in in 2wd when you lift it up your front tires should be able to spin which will only make it harder... imagine you are changing rear tire or whatever and the front is the only good anchor, with the tires able to spin since no front handbrake it can roll off

i've seen a car roll off a jack once on a person doing brakes.. outcomes were nearly cutting the persons foot off and possibly arms (good he felt it move back and backed away) and new rotor since it was damaged in the fall
