jeep help

i plan on gettin a jeep in the new future just wanting to know some advice from u guys i plan on getting cause of my budget a 97 to 2000 or so somethin in the range of 6500 dollars what do u guys recommend 6 or 4 cylinder is their a difference in gas milege cause this will be my daily driver hard top or soft is the soft top pretty loud bout like my suzuki samurai, auto or manual just wondering what u guys think would be good any advice would be appriciated

i personally have a 2000 4.0L I-6 cyl, i would say go hard top with a soft top on the side since my soft top has nothing but tears and rips in it. would be a bit tough finding a hardtop jeep in that price range but idk i havent really looked. as far as gas mileage i get about 16 ish right now with 31" A/T tires but i just put in a cold air intake so we will see how well that works

yeah they are pretty loud its a little hard to talk on the phone in my suzuki samurai is their a difference is tranny just personal choice i think the stick would prop get little bit better gas mileage what do u have

I love my soft top... The hard top, IMO, would be tough to remove by yourself!! AND i LOVE the noise of a JEEP ride'n down the road, so the extra noise doesn't really bother me!!!
