Jeep keeps dying.

When I go down a hill in neutral and the press on my brakes the rpms drop and all the sudden the car dies. I notice it is dead because there is no power steering. Why is this happening?

Could be a bad brake booster. Causes a vacuum leak when you press the brakes.

I have a check engine light on but the code for it is a vacuum leak in the rear. Could that be it?
