jeep starts, then dies

Hey everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue where I turn my Jeep on and it runs for a few seconds and then completely dies. The jeep had been sitting for around 10 days without being turned on at all. Before that, everything worked perfectly fine.

My fuel pressure regulator needs to be replaced. Could that be a cause of this?

Could this also be caused by a bad battery?

Thanks!

If you have a key with a chip and try to use a key without a chip, I believe that is what happens. It runs for a few seconds and dies. I think it should display an indicator light also.

You are 100% correct! That fixed my issue. Thanks!

Glad your issue is fixed, but for those who search and this doesn't do it, I ran into this problem a month or two ago. Cleaned the throttle body out real nice and have yet to have the same issue. Also check for good battery connections and loose grounds.
