I am looking in to turbocharging my jeep. As all 4 bangers this one is not anywhere near quick and I would at least like to be able to pass that Prius on the highway. Anyone with knowledge would like to input turbo recommendations or some tips to be successful such as tuning and etc. Also I plan to keep this not too expensive so maybe 1500$ all together as I will fab up the exhaust myself. Just need a bov, waste gate, turbocharger, intercooler, pod filter and steel piping. I thank you for your positive input
If you have a manual shift latter will be same as lower gears except for first part in first
Ain't gonna get power you want in your budget
Sell and buy a 4.0 or if real handy and patient wait for a deal on a rusty XJ 97-98 with a good drivetrain 4.0 auto and get to work swapping but only works for emissions if same year or newer than your tj
I agree also. If you look on Craigslist you can find xj's with everything for $1500 and then part it out and scrap the rest.
