I use extended bumpstops and spring retainers up front and also use "home made" spring retainers and extended bumpstops in the rear. Never even come close to losing a spring and it doesn't affect my uptravel at all either. Mine is what Dave is referring to as "Dialed In".

I keep telling Bob to come over and we'll fix his up, but no bob at my house yet.

Seems like there is space on top though. Unless your spring is held on the bottom with a retainer, there is a chance of it falling off while you're jumping around on the rocks.

i took it out today, no issues at all. flexed the hell out of it a few times and nothing popped out. its still kinda close so i might have to come up with a way to shorten it or just go grab some smaller straps.

Between my shocks, bump stops, springs, etc.... my suspension has the perfect travel, arc, stops for what I do. Mine isn't setup for anything high speed like Rawk is doing, but for the rocks mine is flat out setup right.
