Key Question

Otay, so I bought my TJ used and it came wiff only one key. Havent got round to gettin another but am startin to get a bit paranoid about it. Anywho, Quadratec and probably other sell this rock lookin key wiff transponder. Not really my taste but cheaper than a key from MOPAR.
Not sure if this is a good idea or not.

Has anyone bought one of these and had a dealer cut em?

Tanks

Not sure the dealer will cut someone else's key.

If the dealer is worth a damn they'll cut if free, but expect to drop around 50$ regardless since they'll have to program it (if you only have one key). I bought an aftermarket transducer key round 6 months ago that just lies in waiting. I'm thinking of of taping my programed key in the console & just using cut ones to ignite.
