the picture isnt actually my jeep but it might give a better idea of where im talking about. if you follow the track bar down to the tire, the fluid is collecting in the arm below that.

What is the "arm" you are referring to? Come on bro, you're gonna have to be more descriptive than that in order for us to help you. Is it leaking from the axle tube?

Try this... is it leaking from the tire side of the u-joint on the axle shaft, or is it leaking from the inboard side of the axle shaft u-joint?

Right front behind the tire - watery, not oily, slight smell - did you taste it?

Are you scaring your girlfriend by the way you drive? They have weak bladders ya know.

The Haynes Manual actually shows an outer CV joint/boot for the front axle of a 1997. My 2003 has a universal joint, not a CV joint.

I assume the "arm" mentioned in Post #31 is the bottom part of the axle tube yoke. I would look for wetness around the top joint on the sway bar link (water or liquid from the grease) which could drip down into the yoke, or a leaky axle seal. I would take the wheel off and get a better look at what's going on.

Where was that axle seal located? Did the differential need to be removed to replace it?

I think thats right, I know on the 60's and 44's you have to pull the chunk out to replace the seal

This guy has to be one of the more frustrating members. You most likely will never get the answer.

Thanks. Being serviced by a Chrysler Dealership or an independent service center????????
That looks like an hour's work according to the ARRC site.
