I plan on changing the oil in my front and rest differentials as I'm not sure the last time the previous owner changed it. Is this leak a problem? This is on the rear it doesn't seem to be dripping on the ground. Is this an easy diy fix?
Would a bad pinion bearing cause a pulsating sound with while driving at high speeds. I notice this sound while holding the gas going about 55 or so. If I let up on the gas and let just let it coast this pulsing/ low vibration sound goes away.
^^ more likely it's your U-joints. Check those first for any play. Mine didn't even have play, if you look really closely and they seem like their cracked or just really old they may need to go. Mine had grinded the little pins down to dust and it started vibrating my entire driveline. The rear ujoints needed to be replaced.
Thanks for the tip! My front driveshaft ujoint was loose. Guess I have two projects now. Thanks for all the tips.
