Leaking radiator fix update

So my radiator was leaking at the neck, Jerry gave me a link to a place where I could order a replacement for a good price and I did. This was a little over a month ago.

Since I had to wait for the new radiator to arrive, I decided to solder the neck with pipe solder and a torch and see what happens.

The leak:

Cleaned with a wire brush, and soldered the neck:

Painted it:

I have not had the time to install the new radiator. To my surprise the solder has held up fine since I did this a month ago, and I have been driving the heck out of the TJ. Here's a pic I took of it today:

Not a bad temporary cheap fix in my opinion incase of a neck leak and funds are tight.

And if you send that new radiator back for a refund your old one will start leaking on the way back from the post office LOL...

Nice job. I don't see where it needs to be temporary though, we used to solder or weld radiators up all the time when I was a grease monkey.
