Hey everyone....I've got an issue i need some help with. My jeep has started leaking from the top tank of the radiator but only when parked for a day or more. It never leaks while running and does not have overheating issues. From what I can tell it is leaking where the top plastic tank attaches to the aluminum. I've replaced radiators for leaks here before but I've never seen one leak when sitting......any thoughts?
Are you sure its not leaking from around the cap and just settling at the joint between plastic and aluminum. I had that happen on a different vehicle once. Just a thought!
sounds like your tanks are leaking. Mine did the same thing. only dripped when it cooled down. expansion and contraction rates of different materials.
