Leaking soft top??

So my jeep has pretty much leaked since I got it. Its a 2003 I bought it used about 3 years ago. I cannot find anywhere on the soft top no rips or tears it looks in pretty good shape. When it rains the floor board behind the passenger seat. It also gets water on the floor area behind the rear seat and this is with the jeep trunk thing in place. I have ripped out all of the carpet because it smells like a locker room and I couldnt stand it anymore. I am going to replace all of the door gaskets and see if that is the issue before I replace the entire top. Any opinions or suggestions I am not considering?

Thanks

S

Are you sure you're installing it right? google youtube soft top installation vids, there are a bunch. It sounds like you aren't anchoring it properly in the rear, if it's wet behind the seats. There are clips and flaps that need to be placed properly to keep out water. Worst I've had with my '01 are fifty cent size places where the rear window zips to the top, and the wind blew rain in.... Make sure you're securing the drip rails in the channels of the door surrounds properly too. Is it a factory top or aftermarket?

Yes a factory soft top, Brother also has a jeep and he says it looks all ok to him.
I know when I bought it it was a super rainy summer and there was water in the back, should have been a hint something was up.

It really would help to know what top you have. Do you have full doors or half doors with soft uppers? Even a picture would help. It sounds like you may have an issue with the door surrounds. Are they bolted down tightly? That seems like the only logical thing that would allow water to get into the rear of your Jeep.

If it is back there it's got to be getting in around the rear window or tailgate.

Are you installing the window tailgate bar correctly and pulling the zippers all the way down?

Remove the trunk, the rear seat and carpet hit it with a garden hose and check inside. All it take is a little trickle to really get a carpet wet.

That was my next thing to do was attack it with a hose although I have never noticed water after washing it. This rain was from yesterday's Hermine storm remnants that reached Dallas, Texas.
