Leaky Jeep

My tj's been leaking oil since I got it . It leaks from what looks like the drain plug. I've changed the gasket seal but its made no difference..the drain plug isn't loose either , Any thoughts..?

It might be from the engine rear main seal which is very common. Mine had that same thing and I think it just sort of ran over to the oil drain plug area since they are very close.

yes, all oil that falls from the engine, will almost always end up on the drain plug. because it is at the back, and is the low point in the engine. look around the oil pan and stuff for leaks.

I would be worried if my jeep didn't leak.

The rear main is good, no leaks or anything . Think it would be alright to leave alone , I'm not losing pressure or enough to even replace .

I think you'll be ok. I have leaks from my engine and transmission but not enough to form a pool on my garage floor or to refill with frequency, I just let it be...

Could also be the oil pan gasket. That's where mine was leaking.
