Let's talk maintenence

Alright.. So you hear a lot of talk about maintaining engines on this board.. Got me curious what that means to everyone.

What is everyones preferred "maintenence" schedules. Do you go by the book? Other than the obvious oil changes + tire rotation every 3,000 miles what else do you all like to do routinely? I know it really depends on age of vehicle and miles etc. but tell us what your maintenence schedule consists of, and maybe the specs of your ride.

It would also probably be helpful to mention where you live, and what the driving conditions are like (dusty, muddy, snowy etc.)

With new engine oils I'll go 5k for an oil change, grease her up and do the tire rotation the same time. I check all fluids under the hood every week and drivetrain before and after I go playing, if all is good with drivetrain I go by the schedule unless I get that gut feeling. It's worked so far with all my rigs.
