Lift Install

Im pretty new to owning a jeep and know a little bit about suspension and what not but im installing a 3.5" Rubicon Express lift kit on my 02 TJ and wondered if I should just pay the money to get it professionally installed or if this is something I can actually tackle on my own? any one installed one of these lifts? Thanks in advance

All depends on your ability and the tools you have. Take a look at this and see if it's something you think you can handle. There are a ton of good write ups and only you know your skill level so.... personally I can't stand paying someone to touch my vehicle I will research and study until I'm confident I can handle it. I've always worked on my own vehicles and I have learned from books, the internet, and experience. It even pisses me off when the guy drives my jeep into the garage for an inspection, I don't like anyone near my things especially working on my rig, then again I was never good at sharing.

should give you an idea what your getting into

Its a very straight forward and simple install, the only thing that makes it easier is a spring compressor.

Talk to Coyote94- he is a great guy and knows his stuff on jeeps and well just about anything with wheels and most things without lol. He is here on the boards. I think he lives somewhat close to you and depending on his schedule he might be able to offer a helping hand. Remember pizza and beer go along way
