lifting a 2.4l

so i plan on lifting my jeep its a 2.4l at the moment but sense i plan on keeping this jeep a very long time im going to swap the engine out eventually to make it a diesel or a v8 not sure now but i have awhile to decide. but onto the question ive been looking around and i think i wanna go with a 3 or 4 inch lift nothing to crazy just so i can have some more fun off road with bigger tires i know im probably going to need to re gear to get some of the power back being a 4 banger but thats ok. im hoping to get 33 tires on it but dont know which would fit/look best with them. i need some suggestions and also if there is any other mods i need to do to make it work for a 4 cylinder and a rough price range would be really great.

I've got the 2.5L...and i run more of a custom lift on 35's. Since i didnt do an axle swap with my d30 and just put chromoly shafts in, i'm also running 4.88's but if i had the choice i'd run 5.13's
