Lights not working???

hey guys,

I hopped in the jeep the other night and i could not get the low beams to come on, i have cluster lights, high beams and parking lamps but could not get the low beams to come on, i checked the fuse in the glove box but it was fine. Also all of the lights that were on were flickering real bad like they were not getting constant voltage. Any ideas where to start?

thanks,

jw

Short somewhere. I had a similar instance about two months ago. I posted pic's. It turned out to be the connectors to the headlights. One wire on each side had the insulation removed, worn, or burt away. The bare metal wire would touch metal and there you have it. Look there.

Thanks at least that is a place to start. I will check there, read also that it might be the low beam relay, where/how would i check that.

You nailed it, it was the plugs for the lights they were all gunked up, a little cleaning and they came right back on.

thanks,

Glad to hear it. I had to find out the hard way. Looking everywhere else first, then there.
