Looking to learn more about Engines

I have a 97 Jeep Wrangler. Hopefully it will continue to run for many years to come. I am starting to get interested in engines, maintenance, and repairing engines. Does anyone have any suggestions on some reading material for a beginner in regards to engines and engine repair? Thanks

purchase a haynes manual for your jeep. most it is step by step and includes reference pictures.

x2 on the Haynes. They have taught me a thing or 2 along the way. Welcome to the forum. How about some pics of the Jeep.

if you really want to learn DO NOT GET A HAYNES MANUAL! Go buy the actual mechanics book on your jeep it will be about 100-150 bucks but it has every part on your jeep and nothing is wrong. The haynes manual well skips a lot of stuff.
