2.5" Rough Country Lift
Front Adj. Track Bar
Installed back in September of 2012
Alright so all of us jeepers know about this problem, the lower axle mount for the track bar slowly over time begins to wear out and causes wiggle, and eventually leads to DW.
Well my lower axle mount bolt has been loose for quite some time now and honestly its just been to damn cold to actually go out there and replace it the way I was thinking of doing it. Well finally today it started to wobble real bad so I decided I better replace it before I put my life in danger.
So I went to pull the bolt out and it snapped, I managed to pull the peices of the bolt out and the stuck part out of the sleeve.
Now for the questions:
What size bolt should I use to replace it with? I've read one guy useing a M10x10.5 75mm length thats an allen head class of 12.9
Is this the same size as the stock one? Or is it bigger? Would it work?
Also this is the track bar I purchased from Rough Country:
Jeep Accessories - Adjustable Track Bar
As you can see the Axle Mount end has these metal bushings instead of the rubber one. Should I pull out these metal insert ones and use polythene instead?
Any other tips and info would really be great, thank you!
