loud air rushing noise

First off i'm new to the forum, i've done a little reading but havn't had any posts. I bought this jeep on the first of the year, it's a 2006 wrangler X 4.0L. Basically every now and then i come across this extremely loud air noise coming from under the hood at higher rpms. so it basically only lasts in the first 3 gears. This noise isn't always constant so that leads me to believe its deffinately not right. Sometimes its there sometimes its not. When it starts up on accelerating at higher rpms over say 2500 the sound starts up and i suffer a rather noticeable dump in horsepower. My engine also has been overheating on idles. i was on lunch break one day and after about 20minutes of idle the temp hit 260 if i give it a little gas for a bit the temp drops back down to midway. i've also had a CEL pop on and it pulled p0133 for o2 sensor, did a nice TB clean and havn't seen it back so dont know if its related or not. i've read a bit about it maybe being the fan clutch which shouldn't kick on at high rpms which can sometimes be loud, dunno if thats what it is or not.

Well that ended up being a lot longer than i thought but i'd greatly appreciate any insight on this problem. I've spent probably 10hours of googling and searching this site for info, i've seen similar descriptions but never with the exact same symptoms. thanks again!

Just seen this post so I hope you've already figured it out by now. I'd definitely suspect the clutch fan being the reason for the overheating. Possibly dirty radiator too either inside or out. As far as the noise it sounded like you had a cold air intake until you said start up and loss of power. Are all your vacuum lines good and hooked up?
