LSD (trac-lok) removal question....

I've been getting a lot of grinding in the rear (dana 35) when making turns from a dead stop, after the rear differential fluid gets hot. I've changed the fluid and added the friction modifier that Chrysler wants and the spider gears look good. So my question is, Can I just completely remove the lsd clutch pack to make it a regular open differential without any issues. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you.

Not really. What you can do is re-stack the clutches to make it significantly weaker. Instead of the alternating configuration, you can stack 2-3 of the splined clutch discs next to one another.

The TL isn't know for being aggressive and causing much noise if it is in proper working condition. It may actually need new clutches. That or you could have a bad axle bearing, axle, or front wheel bearing.
