Magnaflow exhaust?

I'm looking for opinions by those that have installed a magnaflow on their jeep. Specifically, what it sounds like.

I want to put a better flowing muffler on when to help the banks turbo but I don't want something that sounds much more different than stock. I know thats impossible, but the closer (i.e. quiter, less drone) I can get, the better.

Thanks in advance guys.

Big fan of magnaflow...i personally have a magnaflow cat and magnaflow muffler on mine. Didnt change the sound in terms of "decibel" but did add a better sound to it (different tone and more throaty).

You wont regret it...

Do you happen to know the part number of the muffler you installed?

I did. I also want a part number to be sure I'm getting the same quiet exhaust. The YouTube videos don't list it.

Unless it's just a "put a magnaflow on my jeep" deal when I get to the shop.

I actually dont remember...

I know all i did was find the dimensions of the stock muffler and just duplicated it with a universal magnaflow stainless muffler. Been on there for about 3 years now.

Oh ok. Sweet. I'll look into that. I heard clips of their cat back system and they sound nice, but $600??? No thanks!

Yeah, F that noise...

i think i picked up my muffler for like 75 bucks or something like that. Got the cat for around the same price and then had them welded in place for another 50 or something like that.

I went with a magnaflow. Slightly louder than stock, but not obnoxious at all. No drone that I can hear.

Awhile back, I found a Magnaflow cat-back system on ebay for $140. Can't remember who it was, but it said they sold a bunch of them.

Don't know if you've looked into it or not, but a couple companies make mufflers specifically for turbo's now. They are made to work with the back pressure, so everything works better together. I know cherrybomb makes them.

well with a turbo you want as little back pressure after the turbo as you can get. Magnaflow's flow through design is about as free flowing as I can get without compromising sound level. I looked at that cherry bomb turbo but it seems like its twists and turns would equal a little more restriction than the magnaflow.

I just threw a "magnapack" muffler on my jeep a few days ago and I love it. The muffler catches a lot of low end sound that the 4.0 has.

best deal is Hottexhaust.com
Then search for coupon codes. They will save you about 20% off.
I have ordered 3 different sets from here using this method.

I had Magna-Flow Muf left over from other project, installed w/WALKER Part # 54287 tail pipe from Rockauto have less than $150.00 in whole thing. I also don't have CAT so it is little louder but it does sound good. Not my daily driver so it does not bother me. If I drove it every day it might. Good luck!
