Manual trans

Just left the Jeep Stealer. Bought some manual trans fluid (ms-9224) at $25.00 a quart Is that right???

Should I have gone with a different brand, would it be much cheaper?

OMG, did that stuff contain gold flecks? Armed with what weight etc. you needed, I'm sure an auto parts store would have been a better choice.

Oh man I feel you!!! I just went through the same thing. $26.99 a qt. 2.4qt capacity.

AMSOIL - Synthetic Manual Synchromesh Transmission Fluid (MTF)

This is some aftermarket oil. Big time cheaper and definatly compatible for the NV tranny. Unfortunatly I was in a time crunch and fell victim to the price gouging of the dealership.

I looked at the purple stuff but I couldnt find if it could be used in the NV or not.

Thanks everyone, Yea, I have my receipt, they are unopened, and will be heading back to where they came from.
It's still painful to sit down after my visit to the Stealer....$75.00 for 3 qts. of trans. fluid, and $60.00 to have a key programed!
