Matching Front and Rear Ends??

Tried to search, all I got was front or rear axles.
My rear is making the humming noise when it is on the idle side
(coasting, goes away when you press the gas).
I now have 35" tires on 15x10 MT that rub slightly in the rear when it
is flexing.
My 2 questions are

1 - Can I put a dana 44 in the back and leave the 30 upfront as long as I change the gear ratio?

2 - Will the Bigger Dana 44 give me 1/2 more space between the center of axle and bottom of body or do I need a 1" body lift

2A - Know of any good 1" body lifts Everything I see that small seem to
Be pucks and I would like to replace old at sometime because
mine are squished and cracking

Thanks in advance for any thoughts

if you have pics of the axles and drivetrain you might have a hmm coming from the driveshaft. Mine was humming because I was having a slight bind so every time it rotated it caught the yoke a little.

I had a noise like this also. Mine ended up being the pinion bearings were shot. I had to tear the whole rear end apart and change them and it's quiet as a mouse now. I have a 99' with a dana 35c.
