Mml

Probably a stupid question... But here goes.

Im going to install a 3.5" lift on my TJ, can I just use a 1" MML to help prevent vibes for now ? Or do I have to install a BL too ?

Thanks

A mml may or may NOT help with the vibes. However, regardless if you install it or not, you do not need the body lift to do it. You will just have to move your fan shroud to accomodate the MML. With a body lift, you shouldnt have to move the fan shroud.

To follow up with what Constsable said, Zone sells a kit where they include a 1" Motor Mount Lift with a 3" suspension lift to eliminate vibrations. Some people still have minor vibs that can be handled with a very small transfer case drop (some washers) instead of larger transfer case drop. 3.5" of lift is that much closer to the 4" "cut off" of having vibs, so it's really anyone's guess.

If I were you, I would add a MML with my 3.5" lift and drive it. If you still have some vibs, add a few washers to drop the transfer case and call it good. Let me know if you have any questions at all!

X2...The mml will definitely help with vibes, but at 3.5" of lift may or may not completely eliminate them. Even if it doesn't, it will take much less of a transfer case drop than it would without the mml. I suggest you install the mml and try it. If you have vibes, start spacing your transfer case down with washers until the vibes are eliminated.
