mml + tc drop linkage problem?

i did a homemade tc drop the other day.. then a couple days later did a mml..

at first it rode great.. and after wheeling it a little hard at the badlands saturday.. i think i lost 3rd gear..

could this be caused by the two opposites? tc drop and mml..

i was thinking about taking out the tc drop tomorrow and if my 3rd gear comes back.. could i add the linkage bracket that came with the bl?

i installed the mml and bl together and didnt install the linkage bracket because the instructions said it wasn't needed

if u have a Tcase drop there should be the linkage brakcet, however that is for the Tcase

pop off the boot and see if you are hitting when u shift or if u just lost that gear

i got an auto tranny.. i dont shift lol

but i did drop it into first because at first i thought i was stuck in 1st.. then i shifted into 2nd and it shifted just find.. then into drive and it never shifted..

before we went offroading.. my gas pedal felt really light after 2nd gear.. like the linkage wasnt right

i know my old dakota shifts late because of linkage problems and this is why i think my jeeps linkage is messed up

im stumped. I dont see why you would loose 3rd gear if DRIVE is in the middle. If the car moves when it is in DRIVE, then its catching and 3rd gear wouldnt be lost unless there other issues. I might be wrong. My neighbor and i went mudding and we went in some water above his tranny and water got in. He lost 3rd and only 3rd. Then his tranny messed up and needed a rebuilt. Did you drain your fluid when he got back from offroading? Was it doing it before you when offroading?

When you're in 2WD does it shift like it is supposed to?? I'm confused. Have you checked your fluid level??

it is in 2wd.. it ran fine offroading.. on the way home my jeep just seemed to be running a little rough.. and i used a lot more gas then on the way up there (like an 1/8th of a tank) then i went and washed it and on the way back to my girls i realized why it felt soo rough.. it wasnt shifting into any higher gear after reaching 2nd.. going 45 mph and pushing 3500 rmps the whole time..

i was able to reach 55-60 on the way home.. but my spedo is definitely off from my bigger tires.. and i was still running at like 4000 rmps

im taking off the tc drop tomorrow to see if that changes anything

i bet i got water in my tranny.. i got stuck in a pretty deep mud pit at one point in time.. what should i check for?

my tranny was just fixed because it was skipping first gear
