Motor mount help***

Hey all,

I have a brown dog MML 1" lift that I'm finally getting around to putting on. Anyways I have all the bolts out except the through bolt on the drivers side. My problem though is that when I try to jack the motor up the whole jeep lifts. It's almost like the mount is stuck to the frame. Is there anything I can do about this? I'm already half way there so I'm not bolting the old mounts back on. Please help guys I wanna finish this tonight!

I used it for the threads and bolts. It'll help get the mount off the frame too?

Did you undo the transmission bolts on the skid plate? And you are doing one side at a time right?

Yes to both of those the tranny Is undone and one side at a time. I'm just gonna put them back on I guess. I sheared off one of the heads on the bolt so its stuck in the frame mount now. We'll see how this goes until I can get them out again. If anyone has any ideas how to get this bolt out it'd be a big help too. Thanks!

If you heat it with a torch you will probably destroy the mount. You will probably have to drill it and tap it. If you have a welder you may be able to weld a nut on it and use a impact to get it out. When I have trouble getting a bolt loose sometimes it helps to try to tighten it a little, then you can work it back and forth to get it out.

Jack from the front of the oil pan when you do go to do it again. Put a 4x4 between the axle and steering to get to it. I spent an hour trying to wrestle the engine into place and get the bolts through, but when I jacked from the front it went smoothly.
